Texas (BPAT) Practical Skills Refresher

Course Description:

This course is designed to satisfy the eight hour practical skills (hands-on) requirement to renew the Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester (BPAT) License as required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).(Course #1201)

Learning Outcomes:

• Students will demonstrate how to field test properly operating and malfunctioning backflow prevention assemblies.
• Students will diagnose and solve issues with backflow prevention assemblies.
• Students will troubleshooting malfunctioning backflow prevention assemblies.
• Students will preform repairs on backflow prevention assemblies.

Must Know:

Students must attend the entire course for Certificate to be awarded.

To renew the Texas Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester (BPAT) License, Students must make application and submit fees to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

Bring appropriate footwear for the lab. Your feet will get wet in this class! No open toe shoes allowed in the lab.
