Louisiana Cross-Connection Control Program Specialists

Course Description:

This course designed for individuals who are involved in administering the Cross-Connection Control Program. The course is comprised of a series of lectures on cross-connection policies and procedures, state and federal rules and regulations, identifying hazards posed by unprotected cross-connections, record keeping requirements, public relations, plan review and how to conduct an on-site cross-connection survey.

16 Hours

Learning Outcomes:

• Students will develop an awareness of cross-connections and the hazard they pose to their water system.
• Students will identify the elements required to administer a cross-connection control program.
• Students will demonstrate how to conduct a cross-connection survey.   

Must Know:

Students must attend the entire course to receive a Certificate of Completion.

Bring appropriate footwear for the cross-connection site survey. No open toe shoes allowed.
